Statement Of Core Values
The following principles define who we are and what we desire to be as we follow God’s mission for us as a church.
We are to be a loving people devoted to:
· Prayer—Communicating with God as we privately and jointly seek His will, His presence, and His power. (Matthew 6:5-13, Ephesians 6:18)
· Evangelism—Being empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our church, community, and throughout the world. (Acts 1:8, Luke 19:10)
· Discipleship—Living a life that is increasing in obedience to God’s Word and fellowship with Him. As God strengthens us, we then lead others to continue to grow in their relationship with God. (Ephesians 4:11-16, 2nd Timothy 3:16-17)
· Worship—Acknowledging God’s supreme value and worth in our personal lives and as we meet together as a church. (Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 10:25)
· Fellowship—Coming together regularly for encouragement, fun, and accountability. (Acts 2:42, 1st Peter 3:8-9)
· Community Ministry—Reaching out unselfishly to our community to meet physical and spiritual needs. (Matthew 5:16, Matthew 25:35- 40)
